Rouses Markets
GULF COAST REGION
Social • Print • Motion
From 2022 to 2025, I worked with Rouses Markets, first as a design intern and later as a freelance designer. During this time, I developed engaging, culturally resonant content across print and digital platforms, supported vendor campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Community Coffee, Zapp’s, and the New Orleans Saints. I also designed the company’s first-ever internal employee magazine. I assisted in coordinating and executing social media efforts to strengthen brand engagement across the Gulf Coast.
Working for Rouses Markets also tapped into my Vietnamese heritage through a 2-page spread on my Maw Maw’s restaurant and the meaning of Tết, which I project-managed for Rouses Magazine in 2022.
During their partnership with The New Orleans Saints, I assisted in the ideation and production process for the “Shoppa Style” campaign, which highlighted the curbside pickup service with iconic New Orleans rapper, Choppa. This resulted in a commercial, digital ads, motion graphics, and print materials.
Rouses Employee Magazine
I created the first-ever employee magazine for Rouses Markets, a hub of information for employees at all levels in the company, celebrating job anniversaries, retirements, and achievements. The first issue of the magazine emphasized the importance of supporting neighbors—whether it be fellow employees, natural disaster victims, or those facing food insecurity.
What’s New Campaign
I developed the visual identity of this campaign and regularly worked with vendors to design and post giveaways on Rouses’ social media and create eblasts for new products.
Rouses Magazine: Holiday Issue
I concepted and coordinated the Lunar New Year feature in the 2022 Holiday Issue of Rouses Magazine, which featured my grandmother and I discussing our holiday traditions and the unity that food brings to family. It was special to have three generations–myself, my aunt, and my grandmother–working on the same project.

Double Ad Wednesday
For my first project at Rouses in 2022, I created the visual identity for the Double Ad Wednesday campaign. This campaign highlights and informs customers about the overlap between sales flyers, offering customers double the savings on Wednesdays.
Deliverables for this campaign included: social media content, motion graphics, printed and digital billboards, endcap signage, window signage, in-store side panels, and flyers. The visual identity and signage I designed for this program is still used today.
ROUX 2 GEAUX
Roux, a combination of flour and oil, is the base of many culturally significant dishes in Southeast Louisiana, such as gumbo and rice and gravy. I designed the label for the private label frozen roux, a locally sourced blend of the holy trinity, garlic, spices, fat, and flour.
“Shoppa Style” Campaign
I assisted in the ideation and production process for the Shoppa Style campaign, which highlighted the curbside pickup service with iconic New Orleans rapper, Choppa. This resulted in a commercial, digital ads, motion graphics, and print materials.
